This exhibition visualizes the sensory landscape that lies deep within me. My point of contact with the world has always emerged through the body — particularly through interoception, the perception of sensations arising from within. When I close my eyes, an internal landscape unfolds: the somascape, a place where the self flows and shifts, and where emotions form an unstable, ever-changing terrain.
The work begins with the phrase, "There is nowhere to place one's feet" — at once an emotional metaphor for displacement and anxiety, and a sensation literally felt in the body. Following this ambiguous feeling, I trace how bodily phenomena — memory, pain, numbness, depression, fainting — destabilize identity, and how identity finds its way back.
For me, sensation is not a passive receptor. It is the substance of the self, a language for interpreting the world, a record of breaking down and becoming whole again. This exhibition gathers the fragments of that mirror, one by one, and carefully pieces them together.
